This year has marked a momentous milestone for A.W. Lumb as we celebrate our 60th anniversary. Since we founded in 1964, we have proudly served the building and construction industry, consistently delivering quality materials and great service to our valued customers.

Where it began
A.W. Lumb originated as a large stockholding company of steel reinforcement with cutting and bending facilities at Wentbridge near Pontefract, West Yorkshire known as Seniors Reinforcement Ltd established in 1961. This then developed into A.W. Lumb & Co in April 1964 supplying general building materials. AWL was a family run business for over 50 years until they decided to sell, leading to a management buyout. The business then saw a huge development when the Lords group acquired A.W. Lumb in 2022.

The Team
Every member of our team plays a crucial role in maintaining the high level of service we deliver to our customers and our dedicated employees are at the heart of the success of A.W. Lumb. We are honoured as a team to continue the Lumb family name and its values, and we will continue to always put customer service first, combined with a strong relationship with our suppliers and investment in our employees, we hope to continue our success within the Lords Group for years to come.
